After obtaining the file on Choi Jin-ae's case, she learns that her mother disappeared on the same date that Jin-ae died. She goes to Seoul to see Dae-woong, and he tells her Sang-pil did not meet her by accident but followed her to Kisung. Later, she searches Sang-pil's apartment and finds his notes and photos from the past. She confronts him and he begins to tell her the things of the past.
